I'll be reading the comments as I could use some help at work. I use my email Inbox as a 'to do list'. Not sure this is the best way but after almost 4 years here, I haven't been in trouble yet.
Priorities are hard to set since the next email could change it all. I tend to glance at the popup on the corner of my screen to see who, what the subject/priority might be.

hmm, if I want that Valentine treat I better fix that image missing on this form. Remind me tonight :)

Great tips Sandy! I actually have an iPhone and just have not utilized the calendar feature as much as I could. I find that I am very visual and like to see all the days of the month with "To Do" items listed in each......but want to get away from handwritten calendars. I recently heard about a feature on Google.....Google calendars I think.....that's let's you enter several and then sync them all into one. Have you ever used this?

Hi Shannon, well I like to call myself the Queen of organization. I love to do it and always come up with new and different ways to keep organized in all areas of my life. Here are a few suggestions on how I keep my life (personal & professional), husband's life (personal & professional), and my two kid's lives organized. First of all myself and my husband have a personal handheld device that comes with a calender to help us keep organized on an individual level. Mine is a blackberry and his is an itouch both have the ability to send you reminders to what you have scheduled in your calender and you can have the reminders sent to you whenever you like (ie an hour before the event, the day before, the week before, etc). Then to keep each other's lives and the kid's lives organized I have what I call command central in the house, which is a message board made with fabric (made by me) that can hold paper etc. There you will find the calender of the month with my events, his and the kids written on them so we know what is in store for the month. Then also in the kitchen I have a chalk board that has the days of the week on it and there I write down the things for the week so we can all see what is going on for the week, so there are no surprises in store for us.

So I guess you could say that I do a combination of electronic and hand written schedules/calenders, both are effective, and work really well together. If you need any more ideas regarding being organized, because like I mentioned I love to do it and help others do it as well.

You tell an enticingly inspirational story, Shannon. I think it's a lesson to those of us who sometimes have a mountain to move, and have to learn to do it stone by stone. We ourselves are on the verge of a similar adventure, where we'll be leaving the security of all that we know in one country, to move to the insecurity and challenges presented by another.

After twenty five years in a very secure and enjoyable job, it's daunting to think about throwing it in, and moving away from that security, and taking a voyage into the unknown. The great thing that I can see from what you have said, is that it can be done if you truly want to succeed.

I wish you all the continued success that you undoubtably deserve.

I have been very fortunate to witness Shannon's journey this year. We are new friends but it feels like we are old friends. She has made wonderful cakes for my mother, father and my two year old daughter. I have enjoyed spending time with her and her husband and watching her dream grow!!

Shannon is making her dream a reality and I admire her for that. She is living her true self.

I do not know if I yet know my path.... but at this time in my life it is spending time with my two wonderful daughters, my husband and friends. My husband and I have found travel with each other and with friends to bring us so much happiness and joy. I do not know what life has in store for me in the future but our life right now feels fulfilled.

I look forward to my next occasion when I need a fabulous cake!

Hi Ann! Sorry for the delay in responding, I am still getting used to blogging and because of a glitch with Wordpress, I couldn't reply until now. Unfortunately at this time, I can't guarantee that my products haven't come into contact with nuts and/or nut ingredients. Possibly when I expand, I may be able to offer this guarantee to my clients. Thanks for your interest though. It's great to hear positive comments about Bella and the service I offer:)

I read this article and was pleased to see someone local was making these kinds of cakes.
Would I be able to order a cake from you and ensure it is nut free, and that it would not come in contact with nut ingredients?
Thank you. I appreciate your time.
